Location

Rudry Parish Hall is home to Off the Beaten Track festival. The Hall is located in the village of Rudry, between Cardiff and Caerphilly in South Wales. The postcode for sat nav’s is CF83 3DF.

 

Parking

Festival parking is available five minutes’ walk from site.

 

On arrival you are welcome to drop-off your camping gear at the hall and then move your car to the festival car park or a safe, legal space being considerate to our lovely neighbours. The hall car park is reserved for disabled parking and emergency access.

 

Camping

You will be able to pitch a tent on the festival field for a modest fee. The tent pitches are open from 2pm on the Friday and should be vacated by 12.00 midday on the Sunday. Breakfast will be available on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

 

STRICTLY NO CAMPFIRES ALLOWED

 

On site facilities are basic and consist of portable loos, a fresh water tap, and rubbish and recycling bins. Low level lighting is provided in the field.

 

No vehicles are allowed onto the field, and we are unable to accept caravans, motor caravans or trailer tents. Limited off-site spaces for camper vans are available approximately 10 minutes’ walk from the festival site.

Disabled Access

The hall has disabled parking, level access for wheelchairs and there is a disabled toilet. Access to the field is via a grass ramp which is easily accessible unless the weather is very wet. If pitching a tent, please contact the organisers so that vehicle access can be arranged. Alcohol

To comply with our alcohol licence please don’t bring any of your own alcohol into the hall or onto the festival field.  A reasonably priced bar will be selling local beer and cider plus a range of other drinks throughout the day.  Anyone found buying alcohol for people under 18’s will be asked to leave the festival.

 

Food

A range of lovely food will be available throughout the festival including delicious breakfast options for a bit of a “pick-me- up” on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

 

Smoking

It is illegal to smoke in enclosed public places and so please don’t smoke in any of the marquees or in the hall. Areas where you must not smoke will have “no smoking” signs, so please adhere to them.

 

Drugs

Guests may be searched on entry to the festival and if in possession of any illegal substances will be refused entry and the police may be informed.

 

Fires and BBQ’s

To avoid fire risks and to keep this natural woodland area as beautiful as it is, please do not light any open fires or BBQs on site.

 

Other DON’Ts

Please don’t bring any of the following with you:

  • Glass (including bottles, jars and drinking glasses)
  • Dogs (other than registered assistance dogs)
  • Fireworks
  • Chinese lanterns
  • Amplified music systems
